It has been a long while since I have posted.
Today I needed to get some small fish for frying and the fish vendor at the Meiling Street market decided to sell only on weekends as the business at the market has been poor.
My children love this type of fish but not all fish vendors carry these.
Tiong Bahru market is an obvious choice as the fish stalls are plenty and fresh.
Out of the many stalls which sell fish, can you imagine only one sell this kind of fish?
The fish vendor explains that the one with a yellow stripe on the centre is the best. He sells at $16 per kg and I bought 2 kg. The amount of fish shown above is around 1kg.
For cooking, one tip is to rub some salt on the fish before frying.
Latest observation of the Tiong Bahru Wet market is that it is completely dry!

Have fun marketing and cooking !
